Refunds (subscription charges)

Refunds usually depend on who billed you. If you subscribed inside an app or on a streaming device, the refund request often must be filed with Apple, Google Play, Roku, or Amazon—not the streaming service itself.

Quick checklist

  1. Cancel first (to stop future charges).
  2. Find the charge in your billing provider history (Apple/Google/Roku/Amazon).
  3. Submit a refund request with the billing provider.
  4. Save confirmation screens/emails.
  5. If denied, escalate (support/chat) or dispute only as a last resort.
